Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Invenitor operates this website and the contact lookup API (“the Service”). For privacy requests email hello@invenitor.com. Legal entity details will be published when confirmed.
2. Account data
When you sign in, Google provides:
- Name and email on that Google account
- Google account id (so we do not create duplicates)
We use that Google account information only to sign you in and keep your Invenitor account. We do not use it to look up other people. We do not sell it. We do not share it except to run sign-in, stop abuse, follow the law, or as needed if the business is sold. People on our team do not read it unless they must run the Service, stop abuse, or follow the law.
We also collect one WhatsApp number that you type. We send a confirmation message on WhatsApp (not SMS). We store the number in E.164 form after that message is confirmed. We do not call this a “verified email” or “verified phone.” Identity signals come from Google and WhatsApp as providers. We record that those provider checks completed.
We also store your IP address to stop abuse, plus billing and credit history.
3. Lookups you run
When you call the API we keep what we need to bill and support you: time, which key, which endpoint, and the name or profile URL you submitted. Results are returned to you. We do not sell your account data or lookup history as an advertising list.
4. People you look up
The Service returns contact details from our data providers. You are responsible for using those details lawfully (including India’s DPDP Act, 2023, where it applies). We do not sign into accounts with passwords you did not give us.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We keep billing records as required for tax and disputes.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes.
Sign-in. We use a session cookie so you can stay signed in to your account.
Analytics and measurement. We use third-party services to understand how our website and customer dashboard are used and to measure advertising performance. These services include Amplitude (product analytics), Google Analytics (advertising and site measurement), and Microsoft Clarity (experience analytics, including how people move through pages). They may place their own cookies or use similar technologies and may collect information such as pages viewed, general device and browser information, and interactions with our pages.
We do not enable Amplitude Session Replay. On the customer dashboard, we do not use full automatic recording of every click. We configure analytics to reduce the chance that secrets such as API keys are collected; you should still treat your API key as confidential and avoid sharing it.
You can limit some analytics through your browser settings and through opt-out tools offered by these providers where available.
7. Processors
We use other companies only to run the Service:
- Google — account sign-in (name, email, and account identifier from your Google account) and, on our website and dashboard, Google Analytics for measurement related to our advertising and site usage
- Amplitude — product analytics on our website and customer dashboard (usage events; we do not use Amplitude Session Replay)
- Microsoft — Clarity experience analytics on our website and customer dashboard
- Meta WhatsApp Cloud API or a WhatsApp business solution provider — delivering the confirmation message you request
- Razorpay — payments
- Our cloud host — running the app and storing account data
- Sentry — API error reports, without default personal data
8. Retention
- Account and WhatsApp pair: until you ask us to delete it, except records we must keep for tax, law, or abuse appeals
- Usage logs: about 90 days
- Billing: as required by Indian tax rules
- Confirmation codes: hashed only, short-lived, then discarded
9. Your requests
You may ask to see, correct, or delete account data we hold about you, subject to law. Email hello@invenitor.com. The Service is not for anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be emailed to the address on your account. For legal questions use hello@invenitor.com or /contact.
11. Grievance officer
Grievance officer, email, and timelines are on /contact and in the Terms. Prepaid fees are not refunded; a grievance does not create a refund except where Indian law does not let a business exclude that remedy.
