INR vs USD: people-search tools for India hiring
Most people-search products sell USD seats. Invenitor sells INR monthly plans and credits for a lookup API — not a CRM.

A Pune staffing shop — fictional founder Arjun Mehta — already pays for an ATS, a job board, and WhatsApp Business. A US people-search tool then quotes a USD seat. Finance asks why outreach software is billed in dollars when every candidate and every client invoice is in rupees.
That is a real buying question. It is not “which database is larger.” It is: what am I purchasing, in which currency, and does it invent contacts I will later bounce?
What you are actually buying
USD people-search seats usually bundle a login, a browser, lists, and sometimes sequences. You pay whether you look up twenty people or two thousand. The product wants to be the place your team lives.
Invenitor sells a lookup. Name and optional profile URL in. Email, phone, and links out when we have them. Plans are monthly INR. Extra credit packs exist only after you have an active monthly plan, in the dashboard, not on the public pricing page.
A plain comparison
• Currency: Invenitor checkout is INR on Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking, wallets). Typical people-search seats invoice USD.
• Unit: one credit per completed lookup vs a monthly seat that does not care how many searches you ran.
• Surface: REST (and MCP on monthly plans) vs a web app you are expected to live in.
• Empty results: we return empty fields. We do not fill a guess so the product looks “complete.”
• Role: API for hiring tools — not a CRM, ATS, or sequencer.
List prices (self-serve)
| Invenitor | Typical people-search seat | |
|---|---|---|
| Currency | INR on Razorpay | USD invoice |
| Unit | 1 credit per completed lookup | Monthly seat |
| Empty result | Empty fields | Often a guessed row |
| MCP | On monthly plans | Usually a web app |
Starter ₹99 / 20 credits. Growth ₹399 / 80. Scale ₹999 / 200. No free plan. Monthly credits reset each billing period. Pack credits, when you buy them after a plan is active, last one year. Credits closest to expiring spend first.
Live amounts always come from GET /api/pricing — the site does not invent a second price list. Human page: /pricing.
When a USD seat still wins
If your team needs a shared browser, saved lists, and mail merge in one login, a people-search app may fit. Invenitor will not grow a fake CRM to win that RFP. If you already have a hiring tool and only need contacts on demand, an INR credit API is the smaller purchase.
Do not compare hit-rate slideware
Vendors quote coverage percentages we will not match with a made-up number. We found it, or we did not. Judge us on completed lookups you can replay in the playground — including the empty ones.
That rule is the whole post on we do not invent emails.
Questions people actually ask
Are the rupee amounts cheaper because quality is lower?
No. Price is an INR catalogue for India buyers. Quality is whether the contact was found on public pages — not whether we guessed a mailbox.
Can I buy credits without a monthly plan?
No. Public pricing is monthly only. Extra packs are in Dashboard → Billing after an active plan.
Do unused monthly credits roll over?
No. Monthly credits reset each period. Pack credits last one year from purchase.
Is MCP a separate USD add-on?
No. MCP is included on monthly plans unless we turn that plan off. Details: MCP for hiring agents.
Who invoices GST?
Self-serve Razorpay checkout is INR. We do not invent a GSTIN on the site. Enterprise paperwork is hello@invenitor.com.
Prepaid — can I get a refund if I switch back to a USD tool?
Prepaid fees are not refunded. See Terms. Email hello@invenitor.com if a Razorpay capture duplicated.
