MCP for hiring agents: lookup without a fake CRM
Monthly Invenitor plans include REST and remote MCP. Agents call find with a name and optional profile URL. Same credit rule.

Hiring teams now run agents inside Cursor, Claude, and similar tools. Those agents can draft outreach, but they should not invent a mailbox to “be helpful.” They should call a lookup API and accept empty fields.
Invenitor exposes remote MCP on monthly plans. REST find is always on those plans. MCP is on by default unless we turn a plan or an account off. Enterprise is still a conversation, not a second MCP SKU on the pricing page.
What the agent should send
| REST | MCP | |
|---|---|---|
| Included | Every monthly plan | Monthly plans unless we turn it off |
| Input | Name + optional profile URL | Same |
| Spend | 1 credit per completed find | Same |
| Empty fields | Not found | Not found — do not invent |
Same contract as REST: full name, optional profile URL. Fictional: an agent working a req for “Priya Natarajan” (not a real person) should pass the name plus the public profile URL from the application — not a generated list of possible Gmail spellings.
Wire-up notes are on /docs. The dashboard MCP page shows the endpoint only when your account is allowed.
What you see in Usage
Completed MCP finds show with time, credits, and request id, separately from REST. That is so a desk can tell whether a human playground click or an agent spent the credit.
If MCP is off
Operators can revoke MCP for a plan or one account without a site deploy. REST lookups still work. The dashboard says the plan no longer includes MCP. Do not treat a 403 as “invent an email instead.”
Not a hiring agent product
We do not ship a recruiter copilot, a sequence, or an ATS. Your agent remains yours. Invenitor is the contact lookup step: found or empty.
Credits are explained in what a lookup credit is. India positioning is in the hiring lookup API post.
Questions people actually ask
Is MCP only on Scale?
No. MCP is included on Starter, Growth, and Scale unless we turn that plan off.
Does an agent lookup cost more than the playground?
No. One completed find is one credit on REST, playground, or MCP.
Can I use MCP with zero credits?
The call will not complete a paid find. Buy a monthly plan on /pricing. There is no free plan.
Will you train on the names I send?
Public copy: we run a lookup and return contacts we found. Do not send secrets in the name field. See Privacy for the legal page.
Can the agent browse everyone in India?
No. There is no directory. Each call is one lookup you already have a name for.

A hiring contact lookup API for India desks
You already have a name. You need an email or phone when one exists — billed in INR, not another USD people-search seat.

INR vs USD: people-search tools for India hiring
Most people-search products sell USD seats. Invenitor sells INR monthly plans and credits for a lookup API — not a CRM.

What a lookup credit is (and is not)
One credit per completed find. Empty email still spends. Timeouts do not. Monthly credits reset; packs last a year.
