Students
People search for students: alumni, mentors and research advisors
Students use Invenitor to reach alumni, mentors and professors with a clear question, and the free signup credits cover one search and a few contacts.

What might you search for?
- IIT Madras alumni working in climate startups
- Product designers in Bengaluru who studied architecture first
- Professors in India who publish on Dravidian linguistics
What can you ask for as a student?
Ask for advice, not a favour with a big cost. Fifteen minutes on how someone chose their path is an easy yes. Being a student is an honest reason to ask, and many people enjoy answering.
How far do the free credits go?
25 free credits covers one search and five contacts. Pick five people carefully. Read what they have written or built, and write a note that shows it. See how to find a mentor and how to find alumni.
What should you avoid?
Do not send the same note to everyone. Do not ask a stranger to review something long in your first message. And thank people even when the answer is no.
Common questions
