What spam rate does Gmail allow?
Spam rate is the share of your delivered mail that recipients mark as spam, and Google asks senders to stay below 0.10% and never reach 0.30%.
By Invenitor team. Updated .
Where do those numbers come from?
Google's sender guidelines say: "Keep spam rates reported in Postmaster Tools below 0.10% and avoid ever reaching a spam rate of 0.30% or higher" (Google).
What does that mean in practice?
At 0.30%, three reports per 1,000 messages is the limit. A few people marking a small batch as spam can do real harm, so write to fewer people and make each message clearly meant for them.
