What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

SPF, DKIM and DMARC are settings on your domain that help mailbox providers confirm a message really came from you.

By Invenitor team. Updated .

Which of them do you need?

Google says all senders to Gmail must set up SPF or DKIM. Senders of more than 5,000 messages a day to Gmail must also set up DMARC and align their domain (Google sender guidelines). Setting up all three is sensible even at low volume.

Where do you set them?

In your domain's DNS settings. Your email provider gives you the exact records to add. Most business mail providers have a step-by-step page for this.
